Founded in 1885, the Colégio Metodista Americano has over 130 years of history and tradition in Porto Alegre, capital of Rio Grande do Sul. The school used to be destined to girls’ education and became a mixed school in 1977. The Museu Histórico Bispo Isac Aço preserves the institution’s history.
Americano’s goal is to contribute to the development of a fair and equal society, based on the Christian and Methodist perspective. The institution promotes quality education with the formation of the human being and a citizen consciousness.
The school counts with a gymnasium, sports courts, chapel, technological resources, museum, Núcleo de Apoio Pedagógico, labs, libraries and auditoriums.
The school offers: Education from Pre-School to High School, full time education and bilingual education.
