The Methodist Institute Izabela Hendrix exists since 1904. It was initially a school for women, in the city of Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais, and the first in the state to understand the importance of women’s participation in society. In 1972, Izabela Hendrix entered higher education with the creation of a college and in 2002, received accreditation as a University Center.
The University Center believes in the principle of educating citizens and leaders with technical knowledge and social responsibility. To do this, it applies the most up-to-date pedagogical methods to educate active and conscious students, who mark society as competent and ethical professionals.
Izabela Hendrix also serves the community through dozens of outreach projects that it maintains in several fields that make up society: legal, environmental, accessibility, health, among others.
